Dreamcoat Lemurian Quartz is a distinctive variety of quartz known for its characteristic colorful secondary mineral overgrowth, or “dreamcoat.” These crystals are most commonly found in Brazil, where quartz forms through hydrothermal geological processes. After the original quartz crystal develops, later generations of quartz and mineral-rich fluids can deposit additional material over its surface, creating a natural outer layer or “coat.” This overgrowth may contain iron oxides, hematite, chlorite, and other minerals, producing dreamy shades of red, gold, pink, green, white, and smoky tones. In some specimens, the coating partially obscures the original crystal beneath, creating beautiful layers, phantoms, textures, and color variations that make each piece completely unique.
Metaphysically, Dreamcoat Lemurian Quartz is believed to combine the amplifying and clarifying qualities of quartz with the spiritual symbolism associated with Lemurian crystals.
